Sandy Dougherty is a performance-oriented executive management professional with a proven track record of success in leading business operations and technology implementations. Ms. Dougherty’s experience reflects consistent achievements and promotions to qualifications and talent for maximizing organizational results.

Sandy Dougherty was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She currently lives in Fishers, Indiana with her husband Kevin and twins, Austin and Abby. Ms. Dougherty has a Master of Business Administration, as well her FLMI designation from LOMA and CompTIA project + certification. Ms. Dougherty has experience in the Life Insurance industry at both the BGA Officer level as well as being a Corporate Officer at OneAmerica prior to opening her own consulting firm in 2018.

Ms. Dougherty has been running her own consulting firm working with both Insurance Carriers and Technology companies that are looking to move into the insurance marketplace. During her tenure with both the BGA and OneAmerica, she spent much of her time understanding the challenges associated with quick changes in the marketplace and overcoming them. Ms. Dougherty’s understanding of how to coach teams and leaders to combine process improvements with “outside in” customer service saved OneAmerica over 1M dollars annually while increasing employee engagement by 12% in her first year. Ms. Dougherty ran one of the largest departments for OneAmerica with over 50 associates and worked with multiple channels including Individual Life, Employee Benefits and Retirement Services which each have subsets such as Career, Bank, Wire, MGA and Brokerage.

Ms. Dougherty spent 13 years as a Regional Manager for L.C. Enterprises which is headquartered in Wichita, KS and is a privately held company with 67 retail gift stores located through the Midwest. Sandra reported directly to the COO and President. She was responsible for the overall profitability of her region through hiring, recruiting, training, team building, budget setting, advertising and direct selling. She was recognized as the “Best Overall Regional Manger” for 10 of her 13 years. Ms. Dougherty was responsible for 16 stores through Indiana. During her time with L.C. Enterprises, she increased sales by over 37%, increased profits by more than 42% and cut expenses by 11% through customer service training, and process improvements.

Ms. Dougherty spent seven years as a Regional Manager with Hooper Holmes, Inc. headquartered in Basking Ridge, NJ. It was the largest paramedical company performing insurance exams and APS’s throughout North America. She ran a “Super District” supervising ten offices with revenue over$ 7 million annually when she left. Ms. Dougherty was responsible for 115 direct reports and over 400 field and office positions. She received Hooper Holmes “President’s Club” award for the “Best Field Manager” in 1999. Sandra developed and implemented the Manager Training Program, which decreased turnover and improved immediate productivity during management transitions. She also created an incentive program to pay her 400 independent contractors in a fair and timely manner which most of the company then implemented.
